For those communities that have an interest in memoirs, WWII history and/or adventure stories, Mitchell Zuckoff's book sounds like a winner. It is coming up quickly, but if you aren't able to bring someone like this to your library, you might be able to organize attendance at this event for your local book group.

The Grosse Pointe Public Library, in partnership with Wayne County Community College District, is pleased to present distinguished professor, journalist and bestselling author Mitchell Zuckoff. His nonfiction book Lost in Shangri-La: A True Story of Survival, Adventure, and the Most Incredible Rescue Mission of World War II, has received numerous accolades, including Amazon’s Best Book of the Year (So Far) and an impressive run on the New York Times bestseller list. The event will take place on Thursday, October 20, 7:30 p.m. at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 16 Lakeshore Drive, in Grosse Pointe Shores.
